Ken-Way '400' Crank-Arm Installation
Adjust arm to fit your machine BEFORE installing cable through arm.
Place complete arm assembly on frame & tighten down with thumb screw securely. Push arm all the way back to the drum and tighten collars while holding arm back against drum hub. Check for 360 degree swing of arm without binding or rubbing. It may be necessary to move one or both collars to achieve free motion. When arm swing freely, cut off excess tubing with hacksaw so as flush with front collar. The "Cup" on crank-arm which slips over drum hub should be kept well greased. The bearing housing on arm should be kept well oiled.

Ken-Way '400' Changing Drums Instructions
Move cable out of machine far enough to see the coupling attaching your cable length to the 10 foot anchor cable in drum.
Remove pin and separate the cables. Remove power feed by removing (2) 3/8" socket head bolts from back of mounting block on frame. Slide power feed off of cable.
Remove 1 thumb screw on the underside of the front of frame slide arm off of cable. Loosen 2 thumb screws on side of square tubing that lock the motor support in place. Motor support will then slide down in square tubing allowing the belt to go slack. Push belt back off of bottom of drum. The drum will then slide off the frame.

Push the new full drum onto shaft and then slide belt onto drum. Raise the motor support enough to put slight tension on the belt.
Slowly rotate drum 1 revolution to center belt. Raise motor support so that belt feels snug (approximately 1/2" of play) and then tighten thumb screws.
Push cable through crank-arm and replace arm by pushing back of arm against drum hub while pushing down on front of crank-arm. Replace and tighten thumb screw on bottom of frame, locking crank-arm in place.
Slide cable drive over cable and up to mounting block then secure with 2 socket head bolts. Attach cable in new drum to cable already in use, using expansion pin.
